Hey I’m Jaclyn, and here’s the story of a recent elopement in San Diego California!
This intimate elopement at the San Clemente cliffs was everything a California coast day should be, easy, intentional, and full of meaning. Mo and Meggan had just celebrated a small backyard wedding earlier in the week, but this day was just for them… a chance to slow down, breathe, and soak in their “I do’s” again with God right there in the quiet moments.
One of my favorite parts was when Meggan surprised Mo with her own vows after he shared what he admired most about her. It was simple, sweet, and so genuine.
We popped some champagne, wandered the beach, and let the misty, moody weather do its thing. With hardly anyone around, they finished the evening by running straight into the ocean, laughing, splashing, and fully living in the moment!! Definitely a highlight!
Days like this remind me why I love capturing elopements so much. It’s relaxed, real, and such a blessing to witness.

Permit Research
It all depends on the location you choose! If you're thinking about eloping in a National Park, State Park, or BLM land you can definitely plan on needing a permit. We'll need to apply for these at least 60 days in advance, so let's plan your date accordingly!

I’m an organized creative type so lists are a must! You’ll receive a packing list that will help keep things organized as you prepare for the big adventure.

FAQs
When should we book you?
I suggest booking about six months ahead of your elopement date! Many couples reserve their spot with me nearly a year out, while others plan just a few months in advance. A six-to-twelve-month window is the sweet spot to lock in your ideal date, location, vendors, and lodging.
What if we love the outdoors but aren’t super adventurous?
That is totally okay! It is your day and depending on what you want to do and your skill level I research hikes and options for locations that fit your needs. Whether it’s a drive up lookout point, 1-mile loop or multi-mile scale up some mountains, I am along with you for the ride.
Can our family + friends join?
Yes! It is absolutely possible. I love it when family and friends are present! I'm happy to accommodate up to 15 guests and find ways to include them! The more guests, the more logistics, which is why we just need to know a number to make sure we can collaborate on location.
How much of the planning do you do?
Pretty much the whole process. I’ll help you find your dream spot, sort out permits, create a timeline, brainstorm activities, recommend vendors, and take care of the practical details. My goal? Keep things easy, fun, and calm for you two.
What if we don’t have a spot picked out?
No need to have a spot picked out, I’ve got you! I know Wisconsin’s most breathtaking locations and will help you choose somewhere that feels meaningful, whether it’s tied to your love story or a bucket-list place you've always wanted to explore.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes I do! 20% is your non-refundable retainer payment to book with me. The remainder of your package can be split into 3 or 4 payments, with the final payment due 30 days before your elopement date.
